All of the cheese at Farm Country Cheese House is a curd prior to pressing in block form. We make about 4,500 lbs of curds per day. Our cheese curds are the freshest possible, garnered when the whey is drained off during the cheese making process. Our delicious curds are enjoyed plain and fresh, or are delicious fried. Many people refer to curds as “squeaky cheese.” Kids love it!
8 oz. Our holiday reserve, this is a true seasonal cheese. We mix a full vat of White Cheddar and a full vat of Yellow Cheddar. We age it for 3 full years in a controlled environment to achieve an Extra, Extra Sharp flavor that can only be found in this cheese. It is only sold from the First Saturday in November until Christmas. This cheese is a limited edition, so don’t wait to order.
Colby, similar to Cheddar, does not undergo the cheddaring process. Our soft, moist and fairly mild Colby is excellent as a table cheese, perfect for grating and grilling, and in snacks and salads.
Sold in the past as “Cranny Crumbles”, this is a cheese that we have finally perfected. A Michigan Jack cheese with cranberry pieces and rosemary, an ingredient that we think makes this cheese perfect. Add this to a tossed salad with turkey, pecans, and blue cheese dressing for a wonderful flavor!
We cannot think of many combinations more perfect than dill and our supple Jack cheese. The creamy mild Jack has a slight buttery aroma and is given a subtle pop of flavor by the addition of fresh farm grown dill.
